If the lead you wish to outreach has an open profile you are able to contact them using an Open InMail.

All LinkedIn members can see the full profiles of Premium members who have enabled "Open Profile". In order to be an Open Profile member, you must have a Premium subscription.

Users have a limit set by LinkedIn of 800 Open InMails allowed in 1 month. We recommend starting low and warming up your Open InMail outreach to max 25 per day.

Users are unable to send leads an Open InMail if they have already contacted them in another way. This means if you already contacted someone using a connection request, it is not possible to then outreach them using an Open InMail message.

To do an Open InMail campaign here are the steps:

Step 1: Go to Campaigns

Step 2: Select Add new campaign

Step 3: Select InMail campaign

Step 4: Write your messages and add your follow up sequence .

Step 5: Add leads to the campaign from the "Search" option

When you complete the search you wish to use you are able to filter within the search based on whether the lead can receive open InMails. This can be found on the filter

Assignment Filter

If you use this filter and select Show open InMail it will filter on those accounts that can receive open InMail which you can then select and assign into the campaign

Step 6: Set the campaign live

Filter InMails for an already existing campaign

If you would like to filter everyone that can receive an InMail from an existing campaign you can follow the next steps:

  1. Go to the campaign you wish to transfer users from

  2. Use the filter Assignment filter and select Show Open Inmails

  3. Select the user(s) you wish to move

  4. Select the Transfer button

  5. Assign those people into the campaign you wish to use
