Blacklists are a feature where you can add companies that you do not want to contact.

In order to reach the blacklist option, you need to go to Profile Settings from the dashboard.

In the profile settings, in the upper right corner, you can see a button called Blacklist. Click on it.

It will open a new page with some explanations about the blacklist and the fields used to exclude specific contacts. There are two options, you can either manually upload a blacklist or upload a CSV file using the blue buttons.

Keep in mind that: You can choose between four types of fields - Exact match (there you write the specific and complete words which you want to avoid), Contains (here you can write only a specific word which will lead to Expandi avoiding people or companies whose name contains this word), Starts with and Ends with.

To manually upload a list, these are the steps that you must follow:

  1. Click on the button labeled Upload Blacklist.

  2. Choose the Blacklist type

  3. Select the Comparison type from the dropdown menu.

  4. (optional) Turn the Clear option on if you would like to clear the previously specified text which satisfies the blacklist and comparison type.

  5. Type in the Keywords in the text box, separating the new information with commas.

  6. Click on the Save changes button.

To upload a blacklist using a CSV file, follow these steps:

  1. Click on the Upload CSV button.

  2. Choose the appropriate Comparison type.

  3. (optional) Turn the Clear option on if you would like to clear the previously specified text which satisfies the blacklist and comparison type.

  4. Click Browse Files.

  5. Choose the file which you would like to upload.

  6. Map only one chosen field to the correct column.

  7. Skip all other columns.

  8. Click the blue Submit button.

At the bottom, you are able to filter on three criteria: filter words, blacklist type, and comparison type.

Also, you will be able to see all of your blacklists at the bottom and have the option to delete one using the red trashcan which will appear under the column Actions.
